[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Good Companions Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice seeing dogs, cats, rabbits, and a variety of smaller species. We pride ourselves on the compassion and empathy we offer our patients and their owners.<\/p>\n

All staff are pet owners, hence we understand and sympathise with the feelings and concerns our clients have for their pets. We feel we build a close relationship between owner and vet, which improves the quality of care we can provide to your pet, and the support we can offer you during worrying and emotional times.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1710166847682{background-color: #0a4bce !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

History<\/span><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]The practice has been caring for the pets of the Stanstead Abbotts area since the mid 1970\u2019s. In 2005 we moved from a first floor location in The Maltings to the current purpose designed premises on the ground floor. This move provided us with many modern practice ideas incorporated. We have separate dog and cat waiting areas, separate dog and cat wards for inpatients, an aseptic operating theatre, and a designated imaging room.<\/p>\n

In 2015 as the previous owners retired, the practice merged with the\u00a0Bishop\u2019s Stortford Veterinary Hospital<\/a>, and Louise joined the practice as new head vet.<\/p>\n

We are keen that continuity of care is maintained and encourage clients to make an appointment with the vet of their choice. Our vets constantly discuss our ongoing cases to ensure that if you were to have to see a different vet you will not have to recap all that has been happening with your pet.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Our collaboration with another local practice allows us at Good Companions access to the advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities available at the Hospital, so we can continue to provide the highest level of care possible in general practice.\u00a0 Our clients can also now use the 24 hours a day emergency service.<\/p>\n
